Accurate Color Reproduction for Pathology Diagnosis

Calibrated for Trust from First Use
In pathology diagnosis, subtle color differences can influence interpretation of tissue and cellular structure. To ensure accurate color reproduction from first use, each monitor is individually adjusted at EIZO's factory. Color gamut and gamma are precisely calibrated to accurately render the sRGB color space, providing a reliable visual reference for the evaluation of digitized histology slides created through Whole Slide Imaging (WSI).

Color Accuracy Verification and Quality Control
Ongoing quality assurance is important in digital pathology, where consistent color presentation supports accurate interpretation of tissue structure. Using EIZO’s RadiCS monitor quality control software (sold separately), color accuracy is evaluated using reference color patches and calibration compliant with the sRGB standard can be performed.
The monitor is specialized for digital pathology and evaluates color differences using ΔE2000 (Delta E 2000), a standard metric that indicates how closely displayed colors match their reference values. By keeping these differences small, the monitor helps preserve subtle gradations in digitally scanned tissue slides for precise visual assessment.

Hassle-Free Quality Control with Built-In Sensor
Colors on a monitor gradually shift with use, making regular recalibration essential for maintaining consistency. The Integrated Front Sensor (IFS) built into the monitor's bezel enables you to perform color accuracy checks and calibration without the need for an external sensor. With RadiCS scheduling, routine quality checks can be run automatically during off-hours, such as overnight. This allows continuous quality management while keeping the daily clinical workflow uninterrupted.

Compliance with Global Standards for Pathology Use
The PX3150 has obtained clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use as a Digital Pathology Display and complies with Class A requirements under the European In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR). By meeting these international standards, the monitor provides a highly reliable display environment designed for pathology diagnostic applications.

Optimal Diagnostic Viewing
DCI 4K Resolution on a Large 30.5-inch Screen
A high resolution of 8 megapixels (4096 x 2160), offering a wider display area than standard 4K monitors (3840 x 2160), combined with a large 30.5‑inch screen provides an expansive viewing area that displays more than four times the information of Full HD. Whole slide images, regions of interest, and supporting data can be viewed simultaneously in high detail, reducing the need for frequent window switching or scrolling.

Uniformity Across the Screen
To ensure consistent image presentation, the monitor is equipped with EIZO’s proprietary Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology. DUE corrects brightness and chromaticity variations across the entire screen at all gradation levels. By maintaining uniform image quality from the center to the corners, the monitor minimizes visual unevenness that could affect assessment of fine tissue detail.

Streamlined Connection with USB Type-C

Mobile Workstation Power Delivery
The 94 watt power delivery via USB Type-C® reliably charges mobile workstations. This eliminates the need for a mobile workstation's bulky power supply unit, freeing up space in your bag and on the desk.

Stable Wired Network Connection
The monitor has LAN port directly built in for a stable wired connection. Connecting mobile workstation via USB Type-C allows access to the network through the monitor, making it useful when security policies require a wired connection.

Directly Connect Peripherals
While many modern mobile workstations are designed to be thinner and more portable, they often have limited connectivity options for peripherals. Connecting a mobile workstation to the monitor via USB Type-C gives access to a hub with three USB Type-A and one USB Type-C ports for easily connecting an external keyboard, mouse, or headset.
The USB Type-C port cannot be used as a USB external device connection when used for daisy-chain connection.

Hassle-Free Multi-Monitor Setup
The monitor's USB Type-C connection supports daisy chaining for easily connecting multiple monitors from a single USB Type-C video signal output of mobile workstations. This allows you to configure a multi-monitor setup without hassle of excess cabling.

The Shape of Comfort
The monitor's cabinet is designed with rounded corners and elegant curves on the back to present a gentle aesthetic and facilitate a comforting environment for patients and medical staff.

Stable Brightness for Confident Interpretation
The panel uses a highly efficient LED backlight to deliver a guaranteed luminance of 370 cd/m² for up to 10,000 hours over five years. This sustained brightness maintains a stable viewing environment and consistent visual appearance that supports confident pathology interpretation under conditions familiar from routine microscope examination.
Warranty with Safety and TrustEIZO and its authorized distributors offer a five-year limited warranty. |

Care for the Environment
Conserve to Preserve
The monitor’s housing is made of 70% recycled plastic. This mitigates on the amount of plastic waste going into the environment, conserves resources, and promotes reuse of materials for preserving the natural ecosystems.

Cushioning Environmental Impact
The monitor uses molded pulp made from recycled cardboard and newspaper in its packaging instead of conventional recycled styrofoam or plastic, and cables are wrapped in paper instead of plastic bags.
