Cypress, CA, September 1, 2015 – EIZO is expanding its product warranty to cover bright pixel defects on select FlexScan, ColorEdge, and FORIS monitors. (See applicable monitors below.) Under this warranty, no bright sub-pixels* are allowed for six months from the date of purchase.
A pixel is the smallest element in a digital image and consists of a red, green, and blue sub-pixel. A bright sub-pixel is one that is permanently “on” and can cause a distraction for the viewer. EIZO is guaranteeing zero bright sub-pixels to ensure high quality standards and greater customer satisfaction.

*A bright sub-pixel is defined as one that is fully lit and must be visible in an ambient illuminance of more than 500 lux (typical office environment) and viewing distance of more than 35 cm.
