EIZO Acquires Medical System Integration Business from Imation Corporation Japan

Hakusan, Japan, October 15, 2015  – EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with US-based Imation Corporation Japan to acquire Imation’s medical system integration business in Japan through a wholly-owned company named EIZO Medical Solutions Inc.

As per its Mid-Term Business Plan, EIZO is committed to be the “Visual Technology Company” and expanding its business further into the medical and graphics markets as well as further into specialty markets such as air traffic control and industrial.

Imation has developed a medical system integration business in Japan for more than 14 years and built strong relationships with major medical equipment companies. This acquisition will enable EIZO, in the medical market, to combine its established monitor business with its own new systems integration business that offers comprehensive services from medical system consultation to after-sales support, providing total solutions to customers.
