PRINT Image Matching (P.I.M.) |
 |
A technology developed by Seiko Epson Corporation to ensure that P.I.M.-enabled digital cameras work together with monitors and printers to produce the best possible prints. With P.I.M., the digital camera maker can set important image parameters for printing such as gamma level, color space, contrast, and brightness. The P.I.M.-enabled digital camera tags all pictures with the optimal image settings for that model. This print-specific information is automatically included in the Exif header of the JPEG file for use by the P.I.M.-enabled monitor or printer.
EIZO released the industry's first P.I.M.-enabled monitor with the FlexScan T566. |
