5 Year Limited Warranty
Products covered by the 5 year limited warranty (see listing above) are subject to the following principal terms and conditions.
- The product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years, but subject to the usage time being 30,000 hours or less from the date of purchase.
- The warranty period for the LCD panel is limited to three (3) years from the date of purchase.
- The warranty period for the backlight is limited to three (3) years from the date of purchase but with the following conditions or exceptions:
- For the ColorEdge models listed below, the backlight shall be warranted only if the monitors are used with the color temperature between 5,000 K – 6,500 K and limited to three (3) years from the date of purchase subject to the usage time being less than or equal to 10,000 hours and used within the recommended brightness as follows.
120 cd/m2 or less: CG223W, CG241W, CG242W, CG243W, CG245W, CG301W, CG303W
100 cd/m2 or less: CG211, CG221, CG232W
80 cd/m2 or less: CG222W - For the ColorEdge CG220, the warranty period of the backlight is limited to two (2) years from the date of purchase, but brightness deterioration is not covered.
- For all FlexScan products listed as having a five-year warranty in the table above, the warranty period for the backlight is limited to three (3) years from the date of purchase, but brightness deterioration is not covered.
- For the ColorEdge models listed below, the backlight shall be warranted only if the monitors are used with the color temperature between 5,000 K – 6,500 K and limited to three (3) years from the date of purchase subject to the usage time being less than or equal to 10,000 hours and used within the recommended brightness as follows.
- Notwithstanding any other provision of this Warranty, EIZO and distributors authorized by EIZO shall have no obligation under this Warranty whatsoever in any of the cases as set forth below:
- Any defect of the Product caused by freight damage, modification, alteration, abuse, misuse, accident, incorrect installation, disaster, faulty maintenance and/or improper repair by third party other than EIZO and Distributors;
- Any incompatibility of the Product due to possible technical innovations and/or regulations;
- Any deterioration of display performance caused by the deterioration of expendable parts such as the LCD panel and/or backlight, etc. (e.g. changes in brightness, changes in brightness uniformity, changes in color, changes in color uniformity, defects in pixels including burnt pixels, etc.);
- Any defect of the Product caused by external equipment;
- Any defect of the Product on which the original serial number has been altered or removed;
- Any normal deterioration of the product, particularly that of consumables, accessories, and/or attachments (e.g.buttons, rotating parts, cables, User’s Manual, etc.); and
- Any deformation, discoloration, and/or warp of the exterior of the product including that of the surface of the LCD panel.
