ActiveRotation II Portrait Mode Support

ActiveRotation II, an EIZO-exclusive function that provides built-in support for portrait mode. The monitor includes a gravity sensor, so it detects when it is being rotated and changes between portrait and landscape modes accordingly. Because it is hardware-based, ActiveRotation II does not absorb CPU power or compromise graphics performance. It supports Windows 2000/XP and Mac OS 9/X platforms.

ActiveShot Picture-in-Picture Display

ActiveShot improves work efficiency by letting you use two computers simultaneously from a single monitor. Two picture-in-picture modes are available: Standard, which shows the entire screen from the second source, and Clip, which allows selection of any screen segment for viewing. You can assign main and sub-computers, select the size and position of the sub-window, and make the sub-window appear and disappear at the touch of a button.

Color Space Emulation

The FlexScan L997 provides sophisticated color space emulation, which enables you to precisely match the color characteristics of other LCD or CRT monitors. This is useful when you are using another monitor as the standard monitor in a workflow or when you have different models in a multi-monitor setup.

Independent 6-Color Control

Extensive color control allows the precise adjustment of even a single color in an image. You can independently adjust hue and saturation for each primary (red, green, blue) and secondary (cyan, magenta, yellow) color.

10-Bit Gamma Correction

This technology ensures smooth, accurate color tones by converting the 8-bit PC data to 10-bit, assigning the ideal gamma values, then returning the data to 8- bit format for display

14-Bit Color Processing

An EIZO ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) provides 14-bit color processing capability for smooth, accurate grayscale and color rendering even in darker tones, which are typically difficult for LCD monitors to reproduce accurately.

Digital and Analog Connectivity

With dual DVI-I inputs, the L997 can connect to computers with either a digital or analog graphics board.

Placement Flexibility

The stand is height adjustable through an 82 mm range and provides 40° tilt and 70° swivel so every user can easily set the ideal position. It also pivots 90° for portrait mode viewing.
